3 million instances of gun-related violence in the US alone every year demands a solution. I co-founded a business that designed a safe and convenient form of less-lethal self defense.
I learned that innovation isn’t about invention, it’s about intention. After a close friend's uncle, Shane, shot and killed an intruder in his home, I co-founded PACIFIRE, a line of less lethal self-defense ammunition designed to fit into common firearms. We pitched the business, winning our school’s start-up competition and advancing through the semifinalist round of the MN Cup, a statewide competition.
